Reminder: Pension reform payroll webinar

March 15, 2017

The PSPRS webinar to discuss necessary employer payroll changes will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 1 pm at our Phoenix office.

There are a handful of technical changes* that employers must make by the July 1, 2017, effective date of pension reforms passed in 2016. These include additional payroll file data sets for:

• Noting whether employers withhold Social Security contributions
• Members' pensionable salaries
• Non-payment reason codes for the variety of different leave-without-pay designations
PSPRS will also implement a web-based ACH electronic payment option to give employers the capability to login to a secure website and pay via ACH, electronic check or credit card. This feature will be made available on July 1, 2017, at no cost to employers.
