 H2468:           RETIREMENT; OVERTIME PAY – CORP

Changes to ARS 38-881 (dealing with calculations governing retirement benefits of correctional officers) that were made in 2005 (SB1426) are repealed.  The changes were not due to go into effect until July 1, 2008.

H2482:            RETURN TO WORK – CORP; DROP

A retired corrections officer may become employed again and continue to receive a pension from the Corrections Officer Retirement Plan if the employment occurs at least 90 days after retirement.

H2731:            ADULT PROBATION OFFICERS – CORP

Disability coverage is extended to full-time adult probation and surveillance officers of the state Supreme Court, and provisions are established for creating an administrative review panel.

H2792:            MEMBERSHIP – CORP

The list of designated positions eligible for the Corrections Officer Retirement Plan is amended to include program officers, parole or community supervision officers, youth program officers and any nonuniformed employee of the Dept of Corrections whose primary duties require direct contact with inmates.

S1096:             PROBATION OFFICERS; OVERTIME COMPENSATION - CORP

For overtime compensation purposes the definition of probation officer is changed to “person engaged in probation officer activities” involved in court, adult probation, or adult surveillance activities but does not serve in an executive or administrative capacity.

S1142:             RETIREMENT; JUDICIARY – CORP

 

Allows probation, surveillance and juvenile detention officers employed by the judiciary to participate in the Corrections Officer Retirement Plan.

S1172:             REEMPLOYMENT; DISPATCHERS - CORP

 

Full-time dispatchers of an eligible CORP employer may elect to participate in the Corrections Officer Retirement Program and may receive ordinary disability pensions if certain conditions are met.

S1228:             REVERSE DEFERRED RETIREMENT PLAN – CORP

A reverse DROP is established within the CORP to add flexibility and to provide members who elect to participate access to a lump sum benefit in addition to their normal monthly retirement benefit on actual retirement.  Delayed repeal through June 30, 2011.  Eligibility—24 years of service.  Interest rate is tied to 5 year Treasury yield.

S1389:             FUND MANAGER EMPLOYEE MEMBERSHIP – CORP

Amends language to include Fund Manager employees in CORP.  Provisions similar to dispatchers.
