Member and employer portals transitioning to STARS
Temporary portal ‘blackout’ until April 13 launch of new pension system

PSPRS is preparing to launch its new pension administration system, STARS, on April 13, to deliver a significant upgrade to services for members, retirees, employers and local boards.

As part of this transition, current PSPRS portals will be taken offline and permanently replaced. Portal access shutdown times differ for membership and employers and local boards.

“The short-term disruption required for this transition will bring significant and lasting improvements to how PSPRS serves our plan members, retirees and employers,” said Erin Higbee, Interim Deputy Administrator. “STARS delivers a modern, user-friendly experience that streamlines processes, simplifies tasks and makes it easier to access information.”

Important Information for Members and Retirees

The Members Only portals will be permanently shut down on Monday, March 30, 2026, as PSPRS transitions to STARS.

Active member portals will switch to read-only mode March 24, while retiree portals enter read-only mode beginning March 26.

Full account access and functionality will resume with the STARS launch on April 13.

This transition will not impact:

  • Monthly pension benefit payments
  • Health insurance coverage
  • Cancer insurance program participation
  • Any other benefits administered by PSPRS

Important Dates for Employers and Local Boards

Due to the transition to STARS, the PSPRS employer and local board portals will permanently shut down ahead of the system launch:

  • March 24, 2026 – 5:00 p.m.: Employer portal will no longer accept contribution upload files or other updates
  • March 25, 2026 – 5:00 p.m.: Employer eBill and wire payments will no longer be accepted
  • March 25 – April 12, 2026: All employer and local board portal functions will be suspended
  • April 13, 2026: STARS launches with full restoration of employer and local board functionality

Support During the Transition

During the temporary service interruption period, users needing assistance may contact PSPRS at [email protected]. Following the STARS launch, the new Secure Message feature will become the primary method for submitting inquiries and requests, replacing email to ensure faster and more secure service.
