Education & Training

Whether you are new to your role as an employer partner, local board member or local board support staff, or you just need a refresher on your responsibilities, the PSPRS Employer and Local Board Training Department offers a variety of training resources and information sessions on multiple topics that affect your participation in the System, providing you with the tools you need to better understand your responsibilities as it relates to the administration of our Plans. These training events are held via statewide regional in-class sessions, webinars, and in some circumstances, on-site at your agency. 

For questions regarding training resources, to host an event in your area, or for general training questions regarding PSPRS or CORP, please contact our Employer and Local Board Training Department at localboards@psprs.com.  Schedules for these events are continuously updated, so check back frequently.

There are several opportunities for training between now and the end of 2017.  Unless it states otherwise below, you do not need to register to attend these training events.  All are welcome!

Note:  The agenda for this seminar includes a PSPRS update, actuarial and investment information, a legislative update, and the impact of Hall & Parker.  There will be a cost of $70 to attend the seminar.  A continental breakfast, lunch and snacks will be included.  This will NOT be offered as a webinar.

Model Uniform Rules of Local Board Procedure: 

Statutes require that local boards establish procedural rules in executing their duties.  Should a local board not have rules in place, the local boards must follow The Model Uniform Rules of Local Board Procedure adopted by the PSPRS Board of Trustees.
